6. Platform Cheat Sheet

  • Facebook / Instagram: broad support for publish, engagement, and monitoring. For Instagram, DM and comment management depend on the authorization method. See 8. Instagram authorization differences.
  • X: no DMs; Team plan required for platform access and keywords.
  • YouTube: no DMs; supports keyword and competitor monitoring.
  • TikTok: supports comments and DMs; no competitor/keyword monitoring.
  • Telegram: supports publish and competitor monitoring; no comments/DMs.

7. Video Bitrate, Frame Rate, and Compression Guidance

Why platform-side compression happens

Even if the OSS source file is large and visually clear, platforms usually transcode uploaded videos to meet their own CDN/streaming standards. If upload specs exceed platform recommendations (especially resolution + frame rate + bitrate), the final playback may look softer due to stronger compression.

Practical export guidance (pre-upload)

  • Codec: H.264 (AVC)
  • Container: MP4
  • Frame rate: match source; prefer 24/25/30 fps, use 60 fps only when needed
  • Keyframe interval: around 2 seconds
  • Resolution:
    • Landscape: 1920x1080 preferred
    • Vertical: 1080x1920 preferred
  • Video bitrate (starting point):
    • 1080p 30fps: 8-12 Mbps
    • 1080p 60fps: 12-20 Mbps
    • 4K 30fps: 35-45 Mbps
    • 4K 60fps: 53-68 Mbps
  • Audio: AAC, 48 kHz, 192-320 kbps

Important note

If uploaded video exceeds a platform's recommended resolution or frame rate, the platform is more likely to transcode aggressively, which can reduce visible clarity.

8. Instagram Authorization Differences

Instagram accounts can be connected in two ways: Instagram Login and Facebook Login. Both use official API authorization, but they enable different product capabilities. The biggest difference is support for DM and comment management.

Authorization method Applicable account Publishing Comments DMs Main limitations
Instagram Login Creator or business account Y, scheduled posts and first comment Partial N, no comment management or DM management To connect multiple accounts, sign out of the current account in another window before authorizing the next account
Facebook Login Instagram account linked to a Facebook Page Y, automatic publishing Y, comment management Y, DM management The Instagram account must be linked to a Facebook Page, and the authorizing user must have Page admin permission

Recommendation

  • Use Instagram Login when the main need is Instagram publishing or basic account connection.
  • Use Facebook Login when Instagram comments, DMs, engagement management, or auto-reply features are required.
